Yowie Bay Project — From Paddling Pool to Luxury Escape.

Think building a pool has to involve a heap of decisions and a lot of stress? Think again. As our Yowie Bay clients discovered, the pool building process can be (mostly) smooth sailing when you have the right team in place.

At Cronulla Pools we believe a pool makes a stunning addition to your backyard creating a focal point that not only looks great but also adds value. But of course, the main reason for building a pool is to be able to jump in and cool off any time of the day or night.

For our Yowie Bay clients, one driving reason for getting a pool was the thought of sweating through another sweltering Sydney summer.

“We bought multiple plastic pools and large jumping castle water slides to attempt to bridge the gap but it paled in comparison to the joy and relaxation that [our friends with pools enjoyed]. Both Amy and I had always dreamed about having our own pool and we decided [this year] to take the plunge,” said Jamil of their decision to install a pool.

Naturally, there’s a big leap between deciding to get a pool and having one in your backyard. Jamil and Amy were prepared for the difficulty and challenges that building a pool would entail.

“We were concerned with the rock in the yard, coupled with poor access. We had heard horror stories of people beginning to dig only for them to hit rock and the company charging an obscene amount to finish the job.”

And for any busy family, being able to project manage the pool build was also a concern.

“Other pool companies required us to source our own electricians, plumbers and the like which we did not have the time nor the experience in finding quality tradespeople.”

However, this is all in a days work for Cronulla Pools. We work with an experienced team of designers, builders, landscape architects and plumbers to deliver a complete solution.

The family wanted not just a pool, but rather a luxury escape within their home. Given the access and size of their yard, their vision was a simple, modern but timeless design. And did we deliver?

“It’s unreal. We can’t believe this is our backyard,” Jamil told us.

One thing the family didn’t get, however, was the stress they had expected at the outset of the process.

“During the build, I had mentioned to friends and co-workers that we were building a pool and their response was unequivocally ‘that must be so stressful’; to which I retorted ‘the complete opposite, this has given us no stress whatsoever as everything is being managed for us.”

We love seeing every one of our projects come to life and we’re so glad we could create a modern, timeless pool for our Yowie Bay clients to cool off in over summer (and beyond).
