Fancy $3000 worth of fresh groceries? We know you do, and for just the cost of a movie ticket (remember those?) you can go in the running to win a cool 3K to spend as you like with Delish.

‘There’s no restrictions or anything,’ says Claire Richmond, who owns and runs this local business with her husband, Jaeger. ‘We set you up with $3000 on an account and off you go, that’s it. Place an order each week or save it up for Christmas. Whatever you like! We do all the seafood and everything for Christmas – it’s a pretty massive time, that’s one of our big-ticket things.’

If you know us then you know we love Delish because we’re family. Over the last few years, more and more people have been getting just as hooked as we’ve always been on Delish’s awesome hand-picked range of fruit, veg, meat, seafood and groceries.

‘More people have made the move to online shopping,’ Claire says. ‘At the start of the pandemic it was a lot of people suddenly not wanting to go to the supermarket, but then of course the lockdowns happened and they couldn’t go out. It’s been a really busy period for us as we work hard to support both our new and continuing customers.’

Claire says that many people have come over from the large supermarket chains, which haven’t historically been set up to deal with mass-scale deliveries.

‘The supermarkets can’t really keep up with the increasing demand,’ she says. ‘Even though they’re big businesses, their business models aren’t designed around delivery. We can be a lot more dynamic, in terms of how we service our customers.’

‘We’re 36 hours from farm to door. What’s different with us is that we support local Aussie farmers, and we only buy exactly what we need. We’re not storing produce for up to 12 months. We’re not throwing stuff out. We’re all about giving our customers exactly what they want, meaning the service we offer is totally sustainable.’

Delish are also massively into sharing knowledge about food and fresh, healthy meals. Their ‘Lockdown Live Lunches with Manu’ have been going off, and Jaeger’s weekly market reports offer tips on what to buy when and how to shop smarter.

‘Our customers really appreciate this side of what we do,’ Claire says. ‘We want to enrich the lives of our customers in terms of the value they can get from fresh, delicious, healthy food.’

As we inch towards the possibility of lower restrictions in this latest lockdown, we’re all looking forward to seeing the faces of people we love again, to perusing the shops, to sitting down at a favourite café and having a coffee. It’s the little things that matter, and Claire says that Delish customers get a lot of value out of the personalised service.

‘I guess the big thing we try and do is give people access to the faces behind the food. We’re real people, and we work with real people, and we always try to showcase our farmers and staff. We think better business is built on developing and enhancing these connections.’

When it comes to fresh Aussie-grown produce delivered direct to your door, we reckon Delish offer the absolute best and we’re beyond stoked to take the team up on their offer to donate this massive runner’s up prize for our Wanna Win a Pool competition.

‘It’s such a great cause,’ Claire says. ‘We’ve got a little boy ourselves and this feels incredibly important. We’re also really into supporting local businesses. I’m also so excited for the person who is going to win a pool!’
