The lives of our children should be long. And this is why we’re raffling off a pool.

Every morning since we launched our "Wanna Win a Pool" competition, I wake up with a weight in my chest, overwhelmed by a nervousness that comes from doing something I care deeply about. It’s the kind of anxiety you feel when you put yourself out there and hold high expectations for yourself.

But this isn’t about me.

In the coming weeks, I’ll introduce you to many incredible people I’ve met during my journey with Cronulla Pools—the tradespeople who’ve helped us make this dream a reality, the suppliers who are generously donating their services, my dedicated team who will be building your pool, and my family who supports us every step of the way.

Tonight, I want to introduce you to the Children’s Cancer Institute.

A few years ago, Matt and I were fortunate to be invited to a networking event by our friends Geoff and Lauren from Bowerbird Interiors. They had long been supporters of the CCI and encouraged us to join them in the Extreme Fitness Challenge as part of the CEO Dare to Cure. This event brings business owners and CEOs together to take on dares that push us out of our comfort zones, all while raising money for a vital cause.

During that event, we met parents like Liz, whose daughter Anya passed away at just 19. I’d love for you to watch this video.

Leaving that evening, we were filled with emotion after hearing the heartbreaking stories of families facing the unimaginable challenges of childhood cancer. Treatment for these children isn’t just about prolonging life; it’s about finding a cure. The toll it takes on their little bodies is devastating.

The "Wanna Win a Pool" competition is our way of giving back. It’s an opportunity to raise enough money to support the incredible work being done by the CCI and to show our solidarity for the difficult situations far too many children face.

We understand that not everyone gets to come home from school and dive into a pool. We recognize that enjoying next summer is a privilege, while for many, simply making it to next summer is the harsh reality.

Whether you need a pool or not, I’m reaching out to ask for your support. Please. This could be through purchasing a ticket, sharing our cause with your network, making a donation, or even registering for the CEO Dare to Cure. Whatever you choose to do, thank you, thank you, thank you.

A life should be long.
