The main reason we went with Cronulla Pools was because they have such a good reputation. I’ve been down the construction road many times, dealing with big companies, and choosing a great pool builder is something you want to get right. I’ve dealt with really ordinary trades coming in and so I was really picky from the beginning. We took a long time to pick who we wanted to go with to build our pool.
When we were researching different pool companies, we got a lot of quotes. For sure Cronulla Pools were the more expensive, but they’re expensive for a reason. They’re upfront in their quotes about how much things will cost. I decided to go with Cronulla Pools because we wanted a no-fuss sort of build. I didn’t want to be having any problems, I didn’t want any major issues, I just wanted a quality build with the right people. The first time Matt came to view the house I just said to my wife, I’ve got a really good feeling. From day one we felt comfortable with Cronulla Pools.
Basically we went for a really standard pool, rectangular, 5 x 3. We were quite limited in terms of our backyard so we couldn’t do anything too extravagant, and we’re so happy with the result. The water is a greeny-blue colour, and we went with the Azari mosaic for the waterline. We landscaped the backyard, too. It was just a patch of grass but we’ve done a rock feature wall, put in a shower outside – we’ve really brought it to life.
The build was so efficient and quick. We dragged our feet a little bit with the design but the actual construction went really smoothly. I was surprised at how quick it was – the whole build was so fast. We had a little bit of limitation in terms of access to the garage but the team just used a smaller excavator so it wasn’t a big deal. The trades were fantastic. They were really good, really polite, and they cleaned up after themselves. If I had any questions or concerns Josh would get back to me right away. Josh was a great project manager. He was so easy to get along with, just gets in there and gets the job done. He was so approachable. If there were any little issues he’d get straight onto it, wouldn’t let anything hang around. Cronulla Pools were so open, so I never felt like I couldn’t approach them.
You know, I don’t have a bad word to say about Cronulla Pools. Everyone speaks so highly of them. Even the people who’ve come over to maintain the pool since it’s been finished, everyone’s just got really good things to say about the company. It’s really hard now to find genuine people that don’t want to rip you off. It's a bit of a minefield out there. Cronulla Pools are the most professional company I’ve ever dealt with. I know if I needed to I could call them tomorrow. That’s the kind of people they are, they care about their clients. There’s that after-build care, they’re just really there for you. You can’t say that about a lot of companies.
I’ve already recommended Cronulla Pools to everyone I know. If anyone comes to me and asks me about my pool I tell them I’d use them again. You invest so much money and time into building a pool, you want to use the right people. People who make you feel comfortable, who won’t rip you off, people you can trust. That’s Cronulla Pools. I’m not sugar-coating it, it’s the truth. From start to finish they always made us feel comfortable, they were so honest, no hidden extras. We’re planning to buy another property and yeah, I’ll use Cronulla Pools to do the pool straight away.
This is my first pool, so it’s a big step for us. I never had a pool growing up. We decided to get a pool for my son, he’s eight, and he’s been bugging me for one for a long time. I said to my wife, if we’re going to do it let’s do it now. So we just bit the bullet. We didn’t take it lightly – it’s a big investment, a big outlay, but we are so happy with our new backyard. And we’re so glad we picked Cronulla Pools.
