Are you planning for a pool?

Effective planning means getting the most out of your space.

You’re about to embark on the pool building process. You’ve made the decision to invest your hard earned dollars into building that dream pool you’ve been dying for, for what seems like forever (especially with young kids in the middle of summer). Maybe it’s to keep the kids entertained, or to escape the crowds at the beach. Maybe it’s to host awesome pool parties yourself or to get that water view you’ve always wanted. Whatever the reason, you’re ready to go.

If you’re like us, you know preparation is key. If you’re about to start sourcing quotes for your dream pool then there’s a few helpful pieces of info to have handy. These docs will also help to get your head around your site and it’s potential limitations to avoid any nasty surprises before your project begins.

 If you’ve got the following, you’ll already be well on your way – and your pool builder will love you for it! You ready?! They are;

1. A planning certificate (council call this a 10.7 or 149 certificate)

2. A survey of your property (this is awesome but not necessary)

3. House plans (so we know your block size and how much landscaping we have to play with)

4. A sewer diagram (so we can see if there are any sneaky services lurking underground)

5. Pinterest pics (because Pinterest is life and we love to see what inspires you)

Once you’ve made the decision to start sourcing quotes, it’s important your pool builder understands the full scope of your project. The better the brief from you guys, the more accurate we can be in response.

Not ready to get a formal quote yet? Here are our top tips of things to consider when deciding on whether a pool is for you.
