Your DA just got fast tracked.

There are two ways to gain approval for your pool.

The first is through a private certifier, the quicker of the two - it’s called a Complying Development Certificate (CDC). The second approval process requires us to go through Council and is called a Development Application (DA).

The approval method necessary to get your pool over the line is very much dependent on your site but we are always looking to qualify you for a CDC so to avoid the lengthy wait we normally experience with councils.

And look, a little extra time to approve your pool is obviously no biggie and a DA is absolutely necessary in some pools (particularly if they’re part of a new home build or renovation) which is why we are pretty stoked to read the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, Rob Stokes latest media release.

I won’t bore you with the details because that’s for us to absorb - all you need to know is this;

“Council are fast tracking assessments to keep people in jobs, boost the construction pipeline and keep our economy moving” (thank you very much Mr Stokes).

That is it. This is very exciting news for those who require a DA and were facing a wait of up to three months to get their pool approved. It’s now going to be much quicker.
