Help us raise much needed funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute (again).

Remember what we did together?

It was this time last year that we launched our Wanna Win a Pool competition. I cannot believe it’s been a year. But as we get ourselves ready to compete in the CEO Dare to Cure challenge once again, we're asking you to join us in not only supporting the Children's Cancer Institute to help seriously sick kids, but also in reflecting on what we achieved together for our community last year.

Matt and I spent the evening with the team at the Children's Cancer Institute back in 2021. An evening that left us with an enormous sense of gratitude for the work that the CCI do and also for our kids - who are well. We left feeling really excited to use what we do, to try and do something substantial- as a team and a company we were ready - and so we came up with an idea: to raffle off a pool. Every cent raised would be given to the hard-working researchers a the CCI - people who devote their lives towards a single goal - to try to get the number of children dying from cancer each year down to zero. Because they know that its medical research that will cure all children of cancer.

When we launched our Wanna Win a Pool competition, we had no idea what to expect. But as the competition took hold, what we saw really humbled us. Person after person, family after family, the ticket sales rolled in from every direction. Sure, you guys wanted to win a pool - but more than that, and chances of winning being what they are, we knew from your generosity that this was something more. You were backing us each and every step of the way in this little idea of ours. You were right behind us as we clocked that first $1,000, as we reached a whopping $10,000, and as we - right at the finish line, actually - reached an amazing $100,000 to hand over to the Children's Cancer Institute.

Yes, Cronulla Pools threw its little self into marketing and promoting and pushing this competition - we threw every resource we had at this because the cause is so important - but at the end of the day it was each and every one of you who bought a single ticket who made the biggest difference. This difference that you made, that we made together, is out there now helping cancer researchers do their thing. This is something we'll be forever proud of, and we wanted to remind you to be proud of it too.

This year we'll again be competing in the CEO Dare to Cure, and we're asking you to get behind us again. We know what we can do together as a community - and while there's no pool up for grabs there is an awesome web page which allows you to make the biggest bloody difference to sick children at just the click of a button. When you donate, we want you to leave your name and a message for us on our page. Tell us one thing you're proud of today, one thing you want to celebrate, one reason why your little one makes (or breaks!) your day ... absolutely anything that gives us a sense of who you are and why it's as important to you as it is to us to donate to this special cause. As we get ready for the Dare to Cure, we're getting ready to ask for your support and we're so pumped to see what we can do this year to make a difference in the lives of very sick children.

Whether it's a single dollar or a little more - we will be so stoked to have you with right beside us as we get out of our comfort zone for the Children's Cancer Institute.

Let's go!
